Alex is a multidisciplinary artist, based in Omaha, NE. Working in sculpting, drawing/painting, and digital rendering.
Guided by questions about what Art really is, Alex works in whichever medium best serves the investigation—from intimate live event drawings, and watercolors to large-scale public installations.
His sculpting and fabrication work is also featured in many museums across the US. From Omaha Children’s Museum, to The American Museum of Natural History in New York.
His paintings have been exhibited at Star Deli in Omaha NE, The Benson First Friday Gallery auction, Omaha NE, and a Ramen sculpture for Hokkaido Ramen House in Omaha, NE.
Our goal is to create art for everywhere.

It’s no surprise that Alex has been an artist his entire life, but in addition to trying out different mediums and styles to find his niche, he’s an avid gardener, a hacky sack (semi) pro, a listener of podcasts and will never shy away from an opportunity to make his kids dizzy on the merry go round. His dedication to his craft is almost as strong as his dedication to his family. With a wife, 3 kids, each with their own personalities and one on the spectrum requiring support needs and cats/a dog to boot, there’s never a dull moment in the Thatcher house.

With a style that is truly unique, he is always bringing in different perspectives and melding them together to create something that is entirely one of a kind. He can do anything from wood working, to giant murals. When you see his work, you automatically know it’s his.
What is his day job ?
Using his experience, and various acquired techniques in sculpting, carving, welding, mold making, painting, even rigging/installing…he mainly works with his hands.
